In 2021 we partnered with Wren, an organisation with diverse operations spanning Manufacturing, Transport, and Retail sectors. Wren has long demonstrated a steadfast commitment to safety excellence, prompting their collaboration with ABBEY to further elevate safety standards across their business. 

Challenge 

Upon conducting a thorough safety analysis across Wren's three divisions, Abbey identified commendable instances of best practices. However, it became evident that a more cohesive safety strategy was essential to foster a harmonious safety management system. Wren recognized the need for a unified approach and sought ABBEY’s expertise to address this challenge. 

Solution 

Responding swiftly to ABBEY’s recommendations, Wren established a Senior Safety Leadership Team comprising Directors and Managers from each division. This collaborative initiative facilitated regular monthly meetings to share insights, lessons learned, and strategies for continuous improvement. ABBEY’s continued presence in these meetings provide invaluable guidance and support to Wren as they navigate their journey towards enhancing safety culture. 

Outcome 

Over the past 12 months, Wren has embarked on a transformative journey to assess and enhance their safety culture across the organisation. Employee and leadership workshops facilitated by ABBEY have allowed Wren to understand that their workers are their early warning system, they are encouraged to challenge unsafe behaviours and raise concerns. 
By embracing a proactive approach to safety, Wren has not only reinforced its commitment to the well-being of its employees but also positioned itself for sustained success in the future.
